TOH Online Learning would like to offer Teachers in all areas
40 contact hours   if approved by your school district. This class introduces basic OpenOffice Writer. Writer is a word processing program that is a clone to MS Word.  If you are on a tight budget then this course is for you. Writer is a free word processing program that can be used on any computer free of charge or used on all computers in a lab. Think of the money that can be saved by learning this program.  This word processing program, compared to MS Word, saves you hundeds of dollars.

Class Overview:

 

  • Installation on OpenOffice Writer
  • Fonts Styling
  • Edit, Copy, Paste, Cut, Etc.
  • Instertion: Tables, Textboxes, Pictures, Columns, Backgrounds, Boarders, Page Break, Objects, Tools, Etc.
  • Spell Check
  • View, Margin, Page and Printer Setup, Etc.
  • Different ways to save Documents to open in other programs like MS word. Etc.

There will be activities consisting of various projects that can apply to classroom teaching.

Ends:  August 21, 2009
The Class is a 4 week course.
